Heh, I actually got interviewed on TV. A few years back a neighbor went nutzo and killed his son and ex-wife and then led the police on a 3-day manhunt. I got to be the 'concerned neighbor' who said stuff like "they seemed pretty normal - a nice, quiet family". You know how that goes.

I had it on tape until my step-son taped over it with some TV show. So much for my fifteen minutes of 'fame'.

Back in 1991, Dallas schools tried to lay off about 345 teachers. I went to a school board meeting and my speech wound up on the news and led to a massive student blow-out at the admin building. For the next few years, all over Dallas, I was "that guy from on teevee!"
