Similar things happen to old oak trees all over the world. Austin's Treaty Oak got hit about 20 years ago and The Big Tree near Rockport is constantly under protective observation.

The guy called in to the paul finebaum radio show 3 weeks ago (just a few days after he poisoned the trees). Thats the radio clip.
